BALLOON TOUR EXPERIENCE

The "ballooning season" is approximately between late Spring to early Autumn with annual variations.

Sometimes May is cold and rainy and October is warm and sunny (you never know!) but the months in the middle of summer are regularly good for ballooning. The area in which we fly is about 20 miles south of Siena and is called the Crete Senesi, an area of rolling down land with steep valleys, villages on hilltops and isolated farm houses and castles.
The wine towns of Montepulciano and Montalcino lie to the east and west of us, with Pienza and the Val díOrcia to the south. Get ready for a early start! Ballooning is best done at sunrise as this is the calmest and most beautiful time of day.
The landscape here is perfect for flying (We suggest casual clothing and walking shoes).
The Balloon flight lasts more than 1 hour (50-55 Km), and concludes with traditional champagne breakfast. The whole experience will take approx 3 hours.
It starts at the launch field at 6:00 a.m. from Montisi, a small village 30 km far from Montalcino. The inflation takes about 30-40 minutes, all passengers are kindly requested to participate at this operation.
While waiting, coffee, cappuccino or tea, will be served.
After landing at about 9:30 a.m. we will continue our trip by car in the Brunello area for a visit and wine tasting in prestigious winery in Montalcino. If you want to have lunch in Montalcino, the driver will be glad to suggest you a typical Tuscan restaurant.
