The day experiencing Super Tuscans in the amazing Bolgheri wine area will start from guests' accommodation when our English-speaking driver collect them in a comfortable, luxury vehicle.
We will reach Bolgheri: the town is small and charming with an eleventh century castle of the Gherardesca family, where poet Giosuè Carducci lived when he was a child.
After visiting Bolgheri, we will drive among endless vineyards to an exquisite winery where we will sample some spectacular wines under the expert guidance of your winery guide.
We will be introduced to Super Tuscan wines, to wine-making in general and to the latest trends in viticulture. We will visit the prestigious winery that produce the famous wine of Sassicaia, Ornellaia and Tignanello worldwide renowed for the best quality. A delicious lunch awaits us in the medieval hill hamlet of Castagneto Carducci overlooking Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and the sparkling Tyrrhenian sea. In the afternoon we will visit another winery or possibly an olive press where you can learn how extra-virgin olive oil is made and taste this liquid gold straight out of the press.
If you also wish to drench the toes in the Mediterranean Sea, you can be accompanied for a walk through the fragrant coastal pine groves down to the beach before heading back to your hotel.
